Differences without power dynamics

Conquest is the opposite of cooperation, it’s a destroyer of worlds. While I’m planning posts for next year including a LONG economic one, here’s a lovely exchange.

This is why, in mythology, ignoring the woman’s intuition leads to mortal peril.

Without commenting on strangers and single people, here’s what the Bible actually says

“Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,”

Nothing about betrayal in these lines.

“Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.”

Submit also takes on the sexual overtone, implying only the wife should submit, not all women (since it’s the marriage bond which is sacred, so it isn’t so much man/woman as the agreed-upon role of husband/wife).

“…Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged. Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.”

Servants are employees.
Again, fathers, not all men.

Appearance not being vanity;
You should not be fine on the outside only. Some women make their hair nice. They wear gold things. They have fine clothes. But you must be fine in your heart. Have a heart that is gentle and quiet. That will not wear out. And God thinks it is worth very much.
Husbands, also live with your wife the way you know is right.

Respect her because she is a woman.”

Actual Bible.

The life-giver thing is suddenly very relevant. Women were chosen for that. Men to protect and guide.

Note: bachelors owe nothing to other singles either.

Prior;
“So stop all the wrong things you do. Stop all the ways you cheat people. Stop fooling people. Stop being jealous. Stop saying wrong things about people.
… You are free people. But do not think, `I am free so I can do wrong things.’ You are God’s servants.”

The idea of any human being a servant to another as free rein for evil is blatantly false.

I could find more but this’ll do.
