Ishtar or Mary?

https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1991480

“Ishtar’s worshipers addressed her as “the Virgin,” “Holy Virgin,” and “Virgin Mother.” The ancient Sumero-Akkadian “Prayer of Lamentation to Ishtar” states: “I pray to thee, O Lady of ladies, goddess of goddesses. O Ishtar, queen of all peoples. . . . O possessor of all divine power, who wears the crown of dominion. . . . Chapels, holy places, sacred sites, and shrines pay heed to thee. . . . Where are thy likenesses not fashioned? . . . See me O my Lady; accept my prayers.”

No such thing as “sacred prostitute”, Satanists lie. (conflation enhances their “power”, they think)

Then there’s the “witch hunt” smearing of old pagan religions during the Middle Ages, ironically by Satanists. Lying about history isn’t something a Christian needs to do.

“It spread throughout Mesopotamia, and either Ishtar herself or goddesses with different names but similar attributes were worshiped in Egypt, Phoenicia, and Canaan, as well as in Anatolia (Asia Minor), Greece, and Italy.”

Different name, different deity.

A child-killing whore is about as far contrary as one can get in attribute to a Virgin Mother or Holy Virgin.

“The principal mother-goddess worshiped in Egypt was Isis.”

A wife and mother and healer.
Up isn’t down.
Not to be confused with

“In Phoenicia and Canaan, mother-goddess worship focused on Ashtoreth, or Astarte, said to be the wife of Baal. Like her Babylonian counterpart, Ishtar, she was both a fertility and a war goddess. In Egypt ancient inscriptions have been found in which Astarte is called lady of heaven and queen of the heavens. The Israelites had to put up a constant fight against the degrading influence of the worship of this fertility goddess.”

Degrading? Not the others, then. Isis was faithful to Osiris, famous for it and he was faithful to her. If men didn’t make fertility a woman’s prime value in those days, there’d be no demand for a fertility goddess, would there?
Lumping them all in together because they have breasts is lying. Where’s Hera? She was a vengeful piece of work like Kaali/Durga.
It’s like confusing Jesus with John the Baptist. It’s not even wrong.

“In Rome, Venus was the goddess of love and, as such, corresponded to the Greek Aphrodite and the Babylonian Ishtar. The Romans, however, also worshiped the goddesses Isis, Cybele, and Minerva (Greek Athena), all of whom reflected in one way or another the Babylonian archetype Ishtar.”

Minerva was a Virgin Goddess, sexually Egyptians worshiped Hathor and others, Isis was a sacred wife like Juno.

So much information online is completely wrong.

I can’t help but think it’s intentional.

What does no one discuss?

Jesus is the Virgin God.

Mary Worship, paganism, and the demonic influence of roses

Interesting, at least from an historical perspective.

No mortal can forgive sin, this includes the Pope. You are only forgiven by Jesus as a conduit to God Himself. This is Bible 101, kids. I’m tired of people assuming God has forgiven them because Person said a Thing. Nope, you’re never quite certain until you die, and Works are not barter chips for Heaven. Realtalk.

You can tell the Mary stuff is idolatry because they speak of her as equal to the Lord, to Jesus, and they describe her in the exact terms of Gaia, literal Mother Earth, hence the ties to shrubbery. “The rose was a privileged symbol for Mary, Queen of heaven and earth.” Floral metaphors are usually symbolic of the labia, this also applies to the symbol of Christianity, Vesica Pisces, symbolizing …Mary’s vulva. They’re literally worshiping the woman who gave birth to the One, instead of the One. Never pray to someone who died and didn’t come back (an act of divine intervention), the death of Mary isn’t even mentioned by the Bible, she’s such a non-entity.

There is a story in paganism of the formation of the rose. Well, there are many.

“The Romans also saw roses as a symbol of death and rebirth, and they often planted them on graves.”
They are connected to death, contrary to popular belief.

For the lolz, same YTer.

Maybe Donald won by the occult too. Religious police are bad for the religious because the State thinks it is God.

How TF could a Protestant, taught by a Freemason, hire a Catholic group to represent Christians????
The Catholics called themselves the original Church, but they didn’t require a massive male-exclusive city rife with scandal, taking all your money and political power. The original Christians were underground, opposed to such things, Jesus never called for anything like a Papacy.
